Chapelle Notre Dame d'Aubusson

A historical society's record from 1962 describes research into the origin of the name Notre-Dame d’Aubusson.

According to a local tradition, a noblewoman prayed to the Virgin Mary and was granted twins. The Provençal expression dou bessons, meaning "two twins", may have evolved into the name Aubusson.

The account was recorded in the Mémorial de la Marche on 6 October 1962.
